ALS support

Recently working on a Red Cross hospital in southern China I fmet patients suffering from a condition called "Lou Gehrig's Disease, ALS, motor neuron disease" in this hospital there were also patients with multiple sclerosis treated with traditional Chinese medicine.
What follows is some information and conclusions that I hope will be useful to those suffering from these diseases.
1. How many people have ALS in the world? About 1 in every 100,000 people suffer from ALS worldwide. In the United States alone there are about 30,000 cases of ALS.
2. Life expectancy and cure? Efforts are underway in the scientific medical community to increase life expectancy. At this time, only 20% of patients with ALS would exceed 5-year survival. No cure has been found yet.
3. Can the number of neurons be increased? In ALS the neurons die without apparent cause. Previously it was thought that the creation or birth of new neurons was not possible, neither the creation of new synaptic pathways. Today we know that both assertions are false.
4. Natural treatments (no studies to back them up, but a harmless possibility):
a. China Traditional Medicine and Acupuncture
b. Psiconeuromuscular programming for creating new synaptic pathways
c. Nutritional Supplements
i. Amino acid complex
ii. L-Glutamine
iii. Magnesium chloride
iv. B Complex
v. Advanced spiritual training
vi. Metal detoxification and de-worming

TWEETER LAMA CHO TAB KHEN ZAMBULING

201. People use their logic too much, confusing logic with reality. Reality is 'what it is, while your logic defines ‘what you want it to be’. Your logic is useful sometimes, but it is a thick filter the rest of the time. Eliminate all sorts of filters and you will finally know who you really are to fulfill your mission.

202. It is difficult to assess whether a situation is ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ because of the logics of those witnessing the same situation are different. An inability to truly experience reality. Then, do not judge so quickly. Reality is neither right nor wrong. Reality simply ‘is’. The rest is values, belief, dogma; filters!!!

203. Many say that the science of ethics is defined around “what reality should be” and decisions of right and wrong. Since reality simply ‘is’, then ethics is about choosing among various logics and, thus, the choice of filters. Using filters gives strength to using logic or create more density in your own logic.

204. Your ethical judgments should not condemn anyone about ‘right’ or ‘wrong’. When intoxicated with your logic (“this is sin” or “shameful”) you are condemning yourself. Your judgments only mirror image your level of toxicity and the distance you are from reality. Truth, not judgments, should guide.

205. Your logic exists because it is fed by your own questions; but, these are your questions, not my questions. Equally, your logic is fed by your own answers; these are your answers, not my answers. Only when operating from reality and far away from your logic, truth will arise.

206. Life is a fantasy for some people and a struggle for many people. Life on Earth is a unique opportunity to become ‘human’ and ‘beings’. Human brings the body-nature and being houses the soul-nature. Body and soul shall not live apart. The mind unites them. In union, no fantasy and no struggle.

207. The experience of body and soul are fundamental. For life in human form these are inseparables. As your logic separates the body and soul -e.g., inferior-superior; outer-inner; material-spiritual- you live in total duality and fully attached to notions of right and wrong. In union there is neither right nor wrong.

208. Neither my body nor my soul carry right or wrong. The body and soul do not speak the language of the mind. These judgments are born only within our minds. Meditate on the quality of your mind and the purity of your intent, and you will realize how to live outside the errors of your intellect.

209. Separating body and soul is an error of the intellect. For some of the faiths this error is cultivated so the mind does not contribute to Total Union. The workings of body and soul become dominated by a limited mind. The mind is only the bridge, not the architecture of our body and soul.

210. The death of our body is another error of the intellect. The body never was born and, thus, it will never die. Identity with the material nature of the body alone, will force you to face death as we know it now. Expand your mind so that the infinite nature of your body unfolds in its entirety.

211. Ethics is not to be used as a weapon to condemn others. Ethics is a sacred space for reflection and collective self-realization, to remind us of the rights and duties, the purity of intent, the strength and worth of our values, and the experience of different states of material and non-material humanity.

212. Ethics is as much as a process (devata) as it is a blueprint (chanda). The only yardstick against which one may judge the ethics of your own ethics is your mission in this lifetime (rishi). You have the duty to guide others through the experience of what they see as wrong or labeled as sinful. This is true dharma.

213. Offering others only your mind, may lead to a lost path for humanity. Offering others only your soul, may lead to a false sense of inner happiness. Offering others only your body, may lead to a decomposition of yourself. Offer all of them as One and you may contribute to the collective divine.
214. The time left may seem long or short. You may feel time as running faster or slower than in the past. What truly matters is how we experience time: horizontal time is to agree with an outer convention (the clock) and vertical time is a unique inner experience (life intensity). You choose!
215. Can you live in a complete state of no judgment? Can you live “what it is”? Can you surrender to reality and your divine self? Can you stop excluding someone or something and include ALL? Can you love without morals and just love?
216. The worst enemies of the soul, mind, and body are embedded in the notions of “right and wrong” and of “winners and losers”. The right and wrong make the mind most perverse, and the winners and losers make the soul a pantomime. All combined are the main source of body toxicity.
217. The quality of a human relationship is tested in moments when ‘things’ are not really working or when in crisis. There, one experiences either the unfolding of true compassion and forgiveness or expressions of condemnation and punishment. You must always choose compassion and forgiveness.
218. If you disagree with the one you chose to be your teacher, always be correct and decent in what follows, as you may not have the level of consciousness and purity to comprehend the teachings, behavior, or desires. The difference is that you do what you like and the teacher does what it has to do.
219. Never judge your teacher; focus on the teachings. The lotus flower is born from the mud. You may think the teacher is the mud. Remember: the mud houses the DNA of the lotus flower. Focus on the flower and not the mud. Know the nature of the mud too, as you may decide to become a LOTUS.
220. Learn all the lessons of life, even if they are too difficult, or result in suffering and despair. A spiritual life is also affected by suffering and despair. Just learn about the lives and teachings of great masters. Learning the lessons of life brings joy and pain as both have the same origin and destination.
221. It is not what I think that matters. What really matters is the thought of the one with a higher level of consciousness. Remember, if the other does not matter to you, you do not matter to yourself. To catch a fish, the fisherman is only the conduit; the ocean is the only form of eternal life that matters.
222. An African farmer said to me: “I always forgive but I never forget”. Do you forgive? Do you forget? Most people forget but do not forgive. Condemnation is often the inspiring energy for awareness. This form of awareness is highly toxic and it is the source of human diseases of the body, heart and soul.
223. When I see the perfection embodied in a tree, I feel that I am nothing. When I experience nothingness I feel I am more than infinity. When I understand infinity, I act as a true conduit of eternal life. When I live eternal life, I embrace grace and compassion. Start with the meditation of imperfection.
224. Trees are bound to bear fruits only during one season. We are unbounded to give fruits all the time. What are the fruits you bore today? Are you still fertile to give more fruits or you positioned yourself close to low hanging fruits born by someone else? If so, be grateful and surrender to that tree.
225. Yesterday, you were sad and disappointed. These may last a few hours, or days and months. The duration is up to you and to the connection with your Divine. Never stay sad or disappointed for too long. To detach from those states of the soul, practice inner peace, love and compassion. Speak with your neutral mind.
226. “Lights, Camera, and Action”. The Light must be Divine Light, otherwise you will see nothing. The Camera should have the lenses of the infinite Self, otherwise you will see garbage. The Action ought to respond to the right vision and intent, otherwise your actions will have no harmony, balance or rhythm.
227. Your water is filtered, clear and ready to drink. My water is not filtered, not transparent, and I drink it daily. Yours is from the water company and is distributed by government approval. Mine is from a water spring, with some sand, minerals, and nature’s approval. Which one would you rather drink?
228. The outer quakes result in major material damages, and the aftershocks bring even more damages; why is that so? The inner quakes show us potential forms of transformation, and the aftershocks touch every aspect of the soul; why is that so? Every outer quake is the mirror image of our inner quakes.
229. During my silence, I saw a fly crossing my room. She makes lots of noise and does beautiful pirouettes. Never stops until it lands on the window to feel the sun rays. It is a unique show of intelligence. I cannot do that and, probably, never will. Are humans more intelligent than flies?
230. When my ram sees me, he runs towards me and hits my body with his horns. This is his way to love me and play with me; this is his language and expressions of love and friendship --two buddies. Humans see that as a negative action. They have a strange way to love and play. My ram and I love each other!
231. All is life and life is all. If ‘all is life’ then nothing dies, everyone and everything are eternal. Nothing was ever born. Nothing will ever die. You and I are eternal. They are eternal too. If ‘life is all’, remember that you are in constant transformation all the time. The only constant in life is change, infinite change.
232. Light is a unique expression of light. How is your light doing? Are you in the dark? Let me lend you my light, just to let you find your own light. Once you have your light, and I have my light, let form a big torch. And, with the light of all people let us form the most powerful Light House: The Divine Light!
233. Too much light will blind you. Too little light will derail your inner life. Be aware that you were born from the Light and with the Light. If you do not see it, remember that without the other there is not light at all. The light is our connector; it is our collective synchronicity and harmony. It makes us One.
234. Your light is essential for the chandelier of life on Earth. Everyone needs your light. The Light of your light is unique and essential to all other forms of light. We love your light. We need your light. Without your light we will not arrive at our collective destiny. Please cultivate your shinning light!
235. Nobody likes to talk about sex and sexuality. Why is that so? Is there anything wrong with our sexuality? Why is it a taboo? Is it social, cultural, religious, or values and beliefs related? Sexuality is part of human beings and sentient beings. Is there any defect or something wrong with Creation?
236. Is sexuality the problem? Or, is it the level of human consciousness that is too low? Sexuality just ‘is’. Our sexual energies/organs are essential dimensions of our body, mind and soul. Shall we get rid of them and mutilate our organs, and suppress our feelings? What are we gaining by doing so?
237. The term “sex” has a negative social connotation. It is because we have abused/misused it. But, the abuse/misuse is a human behavior. Sexuality is sexuality. It doesn’t have a positive or negative connotation, like the wine is the wine. It exists. It is there. The problem is the one who drinks it.
238. Sexuality is. Ethics brings “what it should be”, morality: “right or wrong”. Sexuality is neither ethics nor morals. What you do may follow your ethical/moral code. Two different things. As in all aspects of life, for social/personal reasons society may impose some norms. This does not invalidate reality as it is.
239. You could kill someone with your shoe. Is the shoe a weapon we need to legislate upon? You could get intoxicated by eating too much garlic. Is garlic a weapon we need to legislate upon? Is sexuality another weapon we need to legislate upon? It is all a matter of human consciousness.
240. Shall I get rid of my eyes because I misused them? Shall we then stop talking of the ‘right vision’? Shall I cut my ears because I misused them? Shall we then stop talking of the ‘right audition’? Or, Shall I better learn to love and care of all my senses so that they become the light of my inner and outer path?
241. Sexuality is Divine. This is why sexuality is the conduit of life. Your mind takes it outside the realm of Divinity. Your mind accuses ‘what it is’ and shifts it to ‘what it should be’. First, self-realize the Nature of Divinity before you judge. Understand that all is Divine when you reached a Divine State of Existence.
242. It is not the norm that will make things right. It is the level of human consciousness that does it. Christ, Mohamed, and Buddha did not need norms, as they were the norm. They were the norm, because of their high levels of existence. When you reach Divine Consciousness you will find no norms.
243. Free yourself. Freedom is not to do whatever you want. It is to have the ability to do what you have to do, which is defined by your mission on this lifetime. Free means no filters, no norms, no morals, and no ethics. It means to be and to become. It means to embrace all manifestations of reality.
244. It is a fact that when you are not free you walk the wrong path and attain little. When you are not free, you have reference points that are not your mission. You are out of tune with the Divine Cords of Life. You are living another symphony, another rhythm, and another vibration. Attune with the Divine.
245. Free all aspects and dimensions of your body, mind and soul. Otherwise, you will have little power or energy to walk your path. What you have to see, hear, smell, touch and taste is not what the rest has to see, hear, smell, touch and taste. Your path is unique and your senses have to be attuned to it.
246. If you free your soul alone, it is no freedom. If you free your mind alone, it is no freedom. If you free your body alone it is no freedom. Body, mind and soul, together have to be free, so freedom is truly born. This is the true essence of Tantric Existence and the most meaningful path towards freedom.
247. The soul is free when all is self-supporting and self-created. The mind is free when you become one with emptiness. The body is free when you experience its immortal sacred nature. This is true freedom. This is the path towards enlightenment. Freeing the mind and soul and not the body is no freedom at all.
248. Your body is not free because your mind is polluted. This reduces the body to just a physical entity. Thus, when feelings arise you filter them as good or bad, happy or sad, right or wrong. Then, you punish your body and suppress its intelligence and wisdom. Your body has the answers you are looking for.
249. Those who establish a relationship of ‘superiority-inferiority’ between the body, mind and soul will be inferior. Those who establish a relationship of ‘equal intelligence’ and ‘wisdom’ will attain the highest level of spiritual realization. Shift your mind set, change your logic, and experience the powers of Tantra.
250. An inferior soul is permanent inner suffering. An inferior mind is permanent disorientation. An inferior body is permanent disequilibrium. Each state influences the other: the suffering because of disorientation, the disequilibrium because of suffering, and the disorientation because of disequilibrium.
251. The body stores the organs of feelings. The mind stores the concepts of feelings. The soul stores the states of feelings. Which is more important? Can the organs of feelings be inferior to the concepts of feelings? What happens when that is the case? Schizophrenia, depression and permanent instability.
252. The organs of feelings –e.g., eyes, nose, ears, tongue, skin, sexual organs—were created from supreme sacredness and intelligence and wisdom. Thus, feelings emerge from the wisdom of your vision and not the physical eyes. An inferior mind filters your feelings and curtails that supreme wisdom.
253. An inferior soul undermines the basis of your mission (dharma). An inferior soul causes a circuit cut with your Divine Self. To be cut off from your Divine self limits your capacity to experience all forms of human interactions. You become foreign to your true nature of being both ‘human’ and ‘being’.
254. It is possible to be a ‘human’ and not a ‘being’. Many people are like that. To understand the true meaning of this state of reality calls for a meaningful experience of “human-being-ness” and “being-human-ness”: to become the primordial breath of life in a self-realized body, mind and soul.
255. “Human-being-ness” is possible because of our feelings of Being. These are the anti-room of creation. Nothing becomes without love, compassion, interdependence, solidarity, caring, and sharing. Being-ness is the self awareness of every feeling and this unfolds all the rainbow of human experiences!
256. “Being-human-ness” is possible because of each and every human experience. This is the anti-room of deep transformation. Nothing is without the wisdom of transformative existence in the material plane. Humanness is the womb of every state of being and the guide towards becoming.
257. Where does privacy begin and where does it end? Am I violating your privacy? Are you violating my privacy? How do we manage the spaces of privacy? Should there be privacy in the first place? What is privacy after all? You tell me.
258. The body, mind and soul have each its own language. The language of the body is different from the language of the mind and soul. The language of the mind is different from the language of the body and the soul. The language of the soul is different from the language of the mind and body.
259. If the body, mind and soul have each a different language, how can you ever unite them? If the languages are different, and they are at least coherent in behavior, what is the Super Language that allows inter-communicating among them? This Super Language is called TANTRA.
260. The language of TANTRA is not about sex. Those who perceive TANTRA as pure physical sex, they are at a very low level of consciousness, and truly know nothing about the language of the body, nor the languages of the mind and soul. There is no TANTRA without the three speaking together.
261. TANTRA is not just physical pleasure, though, like physical pain, or physical tiredness, or physical changes in temperature, or other physical manifestations, are real components of the language of the body. If you only speak the language of the body, you will never speak the Super Language.
262. The language of the body is Supreme as it is the language of the mind and the spirit. One of the central missions on Earth is to learn such a language as Buddha learned it via abstinence, Christ learned it via pain on the cross, and Moses learned it via diseases and physical death. We all need to do it!!
263. For a Super Language to exist, it is a fact that all characters of the other two languages (mind/soul) are mapped and linked to the characters and dimensions of the language of the body. A hypochondriac knows it well. If he says I am sick (the mind), he gets sick (the body).
264. A Super Language possesses a Super Coherence, which is the result of the UNION between the body mind and soul. Incoherence among the three languages leads to a path of diseases, pain, suffering, misguidance, and errors. You go to the Bardo (Purgatory) with a lost soul and a useless mind.
265. We are taught the language of the mind. But even those teachings of the mind are not even sufficient to express our feelings coming from our body and soul. The word “love” has millions of expressions originating in the body and the soul that we are forced to explain, time and time again.
266. We are to reshape or learn a new language of the mind, compatible with the development and depths of our body and soul. In the era of the mind, which is just ending recently, the present language of the mind was ok. We simplified it, so it is practical and business oriented. This has greatly limited us.
267. We have entered the era of the body and it is essential to learn the Super Language of the body without losing your Super Coherence coming from the languages of the mind and soul. The languages of the mind and soul must transform and transcend to the Super Language of the body. Begin now!!
268. We seldom know the language of the spirit as we forgot our mission during this reincarnation. Remember your mission! It is the way to the Super Language of the soul and to sense Super Coherence. You select words from the language of the mind to pretend that your soul is speaking. Not true at all!
269. The enlightened one speaks the Super Language and operates from the Super Coherence. They are in UNION and have mastered TANTRA. They speak the three languages and not mixed them or use one to replace the ignorance on the other. Spirituality is all about the Super Language and Super Coherence.
270. The Super Language evolves because the body, mind, and soul evolve. To learn the Super Language of today, you must be in the path of collective existence and collective destiny. You will never learn the Super Language alone, by yourself, for yourself. It is the language of the other.
271. The language of the soul is stimulated by the mantras and sutras. Practice your mantras and sutras and contribute to UNION. The language of the mind is stimulated by the external environment. Do not be deceived or derailed. The language of the body is self referred, self contained, and self created.
272. When your body speaks, listen to it. Do you know how to listen to your stomach, liver, pancreas, hands, and toes? Learn now, it is not difficult. When your mind speaks, ask yourself who is speaking. When your soul speaks reach infinity.
273. When you do not speak the language of the mind, people tell you that you are ignorant. But, those who have only mastered the language of the mind and know nothing about the language of the body and soul, what are they? Without the soul, no wisdom. Without the body, no humanness.
274. Let me insist million times: life is real. Life is not fitting your body, mind or soul into faith, logic, morals, or ethics. They might help. Life is the encounter with material and spiritual realities you are to experience and, then, transform, interact, share and reach new levels and life options.
275. Contrary to most people, life is like a spiral of realities. Life is not the satisfaction of your adopted faith or logic. One is to grow from experience and self realization. Practicing your logic will make your logic grow but not your soul. Your logic is like the glove; it is not your hand. Take the gloves off!!
276. What is the source of inner violence? Was it there before we were born? Is violence a state that only manifests in material reality or can it also manifest in the spiritual realm? Many of the religious stories tell us that it manifests in all realms. What is the use of violence? How is your violence today?
277. Do your words worth something today? Are they subject to constant change in meaning and intent? Do you imprint someone’s soul as you speak? Do you mean what you say and say what you mean? The root of any language is Natural Law. Maybe you are uprooted from your very nature.
278. Why do you put words in my mouth all the time? Do you want me to speak your language? Or, do you want me to speak my language? I will never be able to speak your language and, if I do, it will mean nothing. It is not possible to do so. Nurture your roots into Nature with your own Divine Nature.
279. Those that speak but that are uprooted from Natural Law are like the parrots that repeat what is not in their nature. Each sound that comes out of your mouth must have the imprint of your soul. Do not speak from mouth to ears. Speak from soul to soul. This is the experience of real communications.
280. When you talk to me, please do it with compassion and care. You probably know the state of play and my feelings even before you speak. The power of each word you pronounce will come from virtues and not from anger or violence. My promise: To send you words of love and wisdom.
281. Where do your thoughts and words go? Do they disappear in the wind and sky? Not so. We know that some words and thoughts last forever. They stay in the mind, and keep coming back. The truth is that your words and thoughts are always stored in your body. Be mindful of that. Avoid inner diseases.
282. Are you only interested in your experience? Are you interested in learning from the experiences of others? Learning from both types of experiences is the foundation of karmic exchange and is the source of rapid resolution of so much karmic debt. Karma is action, is the “resulting” reality from that action.
283. What is the true meaning of “responsibility”? When you say: “be responsible”, what are you actually saying? Two important forms of responsibility are self-responsibility and collective-responsibility. These are completely interdependent and interconnected. Are we responsible?
284. What are the boundaries of your collective responsibility? Who defines those boundaries? Let me propose you that collective responsibility belongs to a world with no boundaries – it is an infinite space to cover. Those who limit their collective responsibility do that either because of ego or selfishness.
285. Does freedom have boundaries? Does freedom mean you may ‘do’ whatever and whenever you want? It depends. Let me propose that: (a) inner freedom–the art of navigation within infinite space--has no boundaries and (b) outer freedom–the art of interdependence--is bounded by your dharma.
286. You will be free when you live (become) both your inner and outer freedom. If you only experience inner freedom without outer freedom, you live in illusion. If you only experience outer freedom without inner freedom you may become a very dangerous person. Both freedoms have the same destination.
287. Be aware of the impacts and consequences of practicing black magic. It is real. It is powerful. But, in the hands of certain people, it is disturbing and dangerous. It is important to learn and experience the essence of black magic to understand what shall not be done with it!
288. In the realm of silence I hear and observe the wind. It moves and removes everything inside my soul. It cleanses all the disease prone parts of my body. It gives vital life to the words my mind wants to articulate. Can you sense a world without wind? Then, why do you pollute the air carried by that wind?
289. A fly came into my den. She was calm until she landed on my plate with leftovers from a snack. After she ate some food, she became a crazy kite, including landing on my face several times. Was she always crazy or, in fact, the food made her crazy? Are the foods we eat making humanity crazy?
290. Sexual abstinence and celibacy are of your choice. Sometimes, those give a false sense of purity and piety. There is purity and piety in ‘use’ and in ‘non-use’. These are states of being to be self realized depending on how you use and avoid abusing your sexuality. Sexuality just is: Do not blame it!
291. Those that have not self realized fully their sexuality and associated states should avoid being part of (except in them): reiki, mahikari, energy work, massage therapists, counselors, yoga instructors… Otherwise, you will be passing onto others your inner disequilibrium, anxieties, and incoherencies.
292. I forgave you, did you forgive me? Forgiveness is a collective state of being, even when you are forgiving yourself. But, forgiving should leave the ego out, should have the right intent, and should lead to the right actions and behavior. Many forgive as a social act. This leads to nothing. Always forgive!
293. You have decided not to forgive --a matter of principle or practice- as if you hold the truth or have been empowered to judge and decide. Be careful, this behavior creates negative karma you will have to face in this life or future lifetimes. Your reluctance to forgive is a sign of weakness and not of strength.
294. You want me to ask for forgiveness from you, rather than you forgiving me now. Why do you condition forgiveness? Your conditions to forgive me will surface in between this and the next lifetime and you will be asked to justify them. When you do not forgive, your ego dominates your compassion.
295. Forgiveness is a process and an outcome. In that process, love becomes infinitely larger than the spiritual space occupied by those mistakes you see (that are not necessarily what I see). When your love is small, it is rather difficult to forgive. As an outcome, forgiveness is the largest step to enlightenment.
296. How do you know you are actually “right”? The state of rightness happens when you experience the infinite combination of people’s dharma. One knows less that 1% of that combination, and most people do not know their own dharma. Thus, forgive constantly: This is the purest state of spirituality.
297. The time has come for you to sing and dance, and to sing loud and dance forcefully. Move your body, mind and soul. How does the mind dance? How does the soul sing? Remember: that the body, mind and soul have to dance simultaneously. Do not move your body if the soul is not moving with it.
298. Fruition is important in all you do. Do not do anything that will not bear any fruits for you, others, and nature all the time. Each step you take must bring character and identity. Never leave things half done as such state will undo most of your spiritual work and transformation. Finish all your jobs!
299. For a cycle of life to open, you need to close another one. The art is expressed in closing and opening a cycle. Most people try unsuccessfully to open a new cycle because they could not close another one. To close a cycle demands that you liberate all of those who walked the path with you.
300. This is the last call before the train moves away from the railway station. Wake-up, pick-up your ticket, and find your seat, to go in this sublime journey. Do not carry too much weight. No need. The heaviest ‘thing’ is your negative intent and judgments. These are all in a suitcase labeled: My logic.
